About Rachel Rubin MD

Dr. Rachel S. Rubin is a board-certified urologist with fellowship training in sexual medicine and the founder of a patient-centered sexual health practice in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. She provides comprehensive care for conditions affecting arousal, orgasm, libido, pelvic and genital pain, erectile dysfunction, and menopause.

Dr. Rubin serves as an assistant clinical professor of urology at Georgetown University. She is the former education chair and former director-at-large for the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

A contributing advocate for the 2025 AUA guidelines for Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM), she played a key role in the removal of the FDA’s boxed warning on menopausal hormone therapy. Dr. Rubin also founded the Sexual Medicine Research Team (SMRT), which advances sexual health research and mentors emerging clinician-researchers.
